CAMPING

Located just 13kms from the Northern Territory/ Queensland border, this billabong offers a perfect stop to break up the long drive along the Barkly Highway. After turning off the highway, a short, well-kept 1km drive on an unsealed road will lead you to the billabong.

Once you arrive, there are a variety of waterside spots that you can choose from, take your pick!

In our opinion Camooweal Billabong is extremely relaxing spot to unwind after a long drive and observe the wildlife. Definitely a great one to put on your list if you’re travelling along the Barkly Highway and seeking a stopover for a night or two.
